I spend a lot of time reading cookbooks and reviewing recipes on line then make modifications that are safe for me. Pumpkin pie, cranberries, breads are all fairly easy for me to adjust. Side dishes are tricky due to no dairy and eggs, but we roast a lot of different vegetables in olive oil and fresh rosemary and most guests like them.

Make bread, rolls, and make sure that the turkey and or chicken is not brined with any soy. Had it ask the people in the meat department to let me know if any of their meats have soy in the brine or the seasonings packed with the meal kits. Not easy, but definitely worth it.

To make mashed potatoes, instead of milk I save the potato water and use that for the liquid. She also likes potato soup. I sauté onion and mushrooms. I boil the potatoes,, add the sautéed onion and mushroom. Lots of salt. Not sure why she loves it but she does.

Anything you would use milk for substitute goats milk - mashed potatoes, gravy, anything it comes in liquid or powder
To avoid eggs in recipes - applesauce, juice from chickpeas, or bananas
To avoid soy - canola oil, olive oil, or lard

I have been doing this a few years now n like to play with recipes.

Some recipes that I use call for worschershjre sauce and I don't know if you ever read the ingredients on the back label. Well one main ingredient is a type of fish anchovies. There used to be a substitute I used all the time but now they don't sell it anymore so I just use low sodium soy sauce as a substitute. In those type of recipes on of them for instance are my French dip sliders
