Virtigo
A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am not sure if virtigo is related to food allergies anyone know? I don't suffer everyday and some days are worse than other days. Some days are so bad that I can't get out of bed. Have to hold onto everything or else I bash into everything and fall all over the place. I am permanently bruised. People ask questions like "are you being abused"

If your food allergies are causing Diarrhea then the Diarrhea can cause the ion imbalances that could cause Vertigo. It would have to be chronic Diarrhea though.

It is a better bet to just go to an ENT (Ears Nose and Throat) doctor and have them do some standard testing for vertigo problems. There are several things they test for that are a lot more common triggers of Vertigo than anything food allergy related.

Either way, the solution medicines are typically ones prescribed by an ENT.

A drop in blood pressure from an allergic reaction can also cause vertigo.
