How To Gain Weight???
A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m currently around 90 pounds and I find it so difficult to gain weight. I’m allergic to gluten, dairy, nuts, high fructose corn syrup, soy, apples, bananas, cauliflower, soybeans, shrimp, scallops, and sesame seeds. (I think thats all of them) Has anyone ran into a similar situation? I was wanting to go to a nutritionist, but insurance will not cover it for allergies. They’ll only cover it if I’m overweight.

I struggle with my weight also, especially when my allergy anxiety is at a high and I find it difficult to eat normal meals. Suddenly I just lose weight. I haven't found any great solutions unfortunately aside from eating more carbs and a lot of sweet potatoes.

Hi. Have you tried yam or sweet potatoes? Both delicious. Just need to chop quickly.

Paleo diet...lots of healthy fats, and protein.

I don't see any meat (any type) on that list. Try adding some higher fat content foods to your diet.

Me too , so many people don’t understand it. I’m always left feeling like I have to defend myself and it can be very isolating.
