My child has a peanut allergy and is allergic to certain tree nuts. I would like to use almonds, walnuts, and pecans in cooking/baking and in nut-butter form, but I am having a hard time finding products which are not contaminated with peanuts or other tree nuts. Does anyone know where to find such products?

Our pediatrician wants me to introduce my 5 month old to peanuts. She said that they have been informed from the Medical Board with scientific studies that actually introducing known food allergens to a baby earlier in life while their immune system is still developing has shown to greatly reduce the chances of developing that particular allergy since their bodies learn that it's "normal" and not something foreign. I'm looking for my fiance. He is anaphylactic allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, pea protein and sensitivity to soy. Everytime we find something it has pea protein in it or soy.

Are there any protein shakes that can be recommended?

My 9 year old (Peanut and tree nut allergies) started using natural deoderant (crystal brand) and has not had any problems, though we are now considering trying something a bit stronger and am worried about hidden ingredients that she may be allergic to. She did try Dove sensitive skin antipersperant/deoderant and she did say it stung her skin and could see some redness.

I have an 8 year old with peanut and tree nut allergies and we are hoping to fly to Disneyworld in April. We have never taken her (and her younger sister who does not have any food allergies that we are aware of) on an airplane. Any suggestions? We will probably stick with Jet Blue, but still know there are risks.

I am almost 70 and the allergies showed up about 25 yrs ago. I have been tested, carry two epi pens and Benadryl always.

My 7 month old has tried eggs twice, the first time she had a rash on her tummy and my doctor told me to give it a few months and try again because it might not be an allergy, she just might not have been ready, we did today and within 5 minutes she had a rash around her mouth. I took the eggs away and so far she is her normal self, that was about an hour ago and the rash is all ready almost gone.
