I have had food allergies and severe reactions all my life, but I had no clue I had a food allergy because I thought everyone was in excruciating pain after every time they ate and spent a long time in the restroom. I was first diagnosed with food allergies at age 26 and I was totally shocked by the news.

Yes I read it is passed on to the baby in the womb, my mother was the same but we didn't know about it in those days.

6 months was when I was officially diagnosed but my allergy was present at time of birth

I noticed actually when my SON was 3 to 6 months old. That s around the time they can have cereal. I gave him a barley cereal one morning and he turned red and a rash formed. He s 11 now.

I was feeling Ill for years ,as Dr didn't know what it was he gave me antibiotics for months and I ended up being allergic to that, was swollen up like a balloon and what did he do? just gave me a different type.
