Peanut butter seems to be in many recipes from squares, cookies and cakes. In many recipes it does not look like it could be omitted.

Have you tried coconut butter?
If you go to a specialty health store you might find substitutes for many ingredients, but I have never found one for nuts. Better to just find a completely different recipe. You could try substituting straight oil, such as canola or sunflower oil, then also increase the amount of butter, if you are not allergic to milk products. Floor would be hard though, if it is a key component of the taste.
If you do not react to eggs, I have found that using extra egg-whites gives a thicker texture, without making cookies hard.
I'm sorry I'm still trying to find out what to eat
Thanks. Sounds like a good substitution for some, but I am allergic to all legumes too.
