How often do people develop new allergies instead of outgrowing existing ones? My e n was born with multiple food allergies, most have gone drastically down and he eats except for egg, when he went for his annual check up I was in so much shock of the inhalant allergies he suddenly has and never had before.
its the way allergic conditions co-exist, this link might help, its UK based but its similar for those in other countries like USA and Canada http://www.londonallergy.com/the-allergic-march/
My daughter went on a field trip and wanted a school bagged lunch. Our previous school district was great with separating lunches for allergies. Yesterday my daughter had PB&J in her lunch. She rolled with it very well. Tried to tell the teachers, but she said nothing happened. Her lunch was raisins, chips, and an apple. She said it was ok because she was full after that. So happy she spoke up and made good choices, but worried it could have been worse. Will be talking with the school tomorrow… read more
Good job, mom. My son once got pneumonia cuz the Y kept giving him HiC to drink although I told them not to. It’s loaded with corn and he was not old enough to tell them at 2 yo.
I have food intolerances. I get very sick with wheat. It feels like I'm going to die. I my skin test showed a giant hive for wheat, but my blood work is neg. I had a positive skin test for dairy, but I can eat it with no problems. I don't understand.
My doctor and others told me not allergic bc none of my "intolerances" show up in my blood work. Won't even consider skin testing. 🤯😕
😳
RAST is more accurate, but expensive. No matter what the test shows, you still need to listen to your body more.

CHEF CARDS
I have posted this before, but perhaps time to do so again. https://www.foodallergy.org/sites/default/files...
You can download these cards which you customize with your allergies or food intolerances. Laminate them and give one to your server when you go out to eat and ask them to show the chef. If you have foods that would require you to use your epipen if eaten - be… read more
I've almost always been thanked for using my chef card, I even make one in Spanish and French for when I travel. Only twice have I been told "we don't have anything you can eat". I also make sure I… read more
I keep developing new food allergies. I’m keeping track and I’m on allergy #24 for food. I have 44 allerrgies total the rest aren’t food related. But, my issue is thaf I keep developing more. I have found that I will enjoy a food for a few weeks and then I’ll suddenly have a severe reaction to it. This is what happened with apples, broccoli, cauliflower, dairy, and a few others. I was able to eat all the foods I was allergic to up until I had surgery to remove my appendix. About 4 months after… read more

My son is 2 years old and has anaphylactic reaction to both peanuts and eggs. I am looking for hope that he may still grow out of these food allergies even though they are more severe.

Testing is a great tool and is very helpful. I have found that keeping a diary of all food and drink is extremely helpful as we are all different. It might just be the combination of certain foods… read more
I believe this stems for high histamine level when I was taking allergy shots. I have ragweed and various tree allergies I was being treated for. I have already had to stop eating melons, squash, pumpkin, because of a cross-contamination. I'm allergic to artificial colorings, latex, aspirin, bananas. My diet is limited. Has anyone had allergic reactions after beginning to eat a particular food everyday?
oas to fruit and veg is very common, and yes is linked to your tree pollen allergies. my son can only eat bananas as fruit. he also has many other food allergies as well as all environmental… read more
