Dairy Allergies
A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have recently been experiencing shortness of breath. I’ve had testing done and they have ruled out heart, lungs and anemia issues. I’ve eaten yogurt and other dairy products more than I have. I’m going to have blood work done to determine what food allergies I have. My guess is dairy may be one.

Please be careful and do your research! Prednisone has an inactive ingredient of *anhydrous lactose*
Which could worsen your allergy symptoms. Prednisone also can be a cataract maker 👀 My dairy allergy started off mild but the more I exposed myself to it, the harder my body tried to fight it, allergic. Get GIMAPPING testing done or blood work as well. Talk to your doctor about Epi-pen. I keep children's dissolvable Benadryl on me at all times, as it is easily absorbed through the blood stream faster. Take care.

Hi Mark. SOB is scary for sure. My allergist ordered prednisone as needed for flares and shortness of breath. It’s very helpful.
