Hi Cheryl, I didn't expect at 50 to be told off! I have tried doing everything dietitian has told me, has my diet stripped and nothing reintroduced but feel constantly fed up, depressed and saddened by my diet. Food has become my enemy. Yes, hazelnuts are tree nuts for sure. We have an allergy to them in this household as well. Also, my experience as been you have to be your own advocate. If you want a peanut test, then ask for it. If you want to know what tree nut specifically you are allergic to, come into your allergy visit with a list of each and every tree nut you want tested. Unfortunately, the healthcare system is over taxed, with each healthcare provider caring for many in a day. Not surprised by what you said surprised that allergy testing at hospital didn't test for peanuts. Do you know what hazelnuts are?
