Holistic Treatments? NAET/OIT...
A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm finding myself a bit frustrated. A friend recommended me trying a natural/holistic treatment called NAET. She swears by it, but she has more sensitivities tip certain foods than out right allergic reactions. I'd read about it and did some research. It had pros and cons, but I did seek out a naturopathic doctor to see if or how this would work. When I saw him, he said "If this was a proven cure for severe food allergies and people had access to this, no one would have severe food allergies."… read more

NAET is an expensive and dangerous con that has been available for decades taking advantage of the newly food allergy diagnosed and those who are easily convinced that allergies are their problem.

For those with food allergies, they might not have an allergic reaction with every exposure so NAET program tries to convince the person that they are the reason for the lack of reactions. However, eventually a severe reaction will pop up usually after the person has spent a lot of money in the NAET program.

There is currently no cure for food allergies. It is best to accept that and learn all about your food allergens so you can better avoid them. You will feel better if you truly avoid your food allergens. The hardest thing is discovering which food allergens you actually have since the allergy tests have a lot of false positives and negatives. All it really can tell you is that you have food allergies and where to start looking for those allergies.

NAET has been a HUGE success for us! My husband, me and my son have all gone through it. What a drastic healing change. I first got wind of it from my sister-in-law who is a nurse. She cured my nephew of a sever peanut allergies. He use to have asthma machines, epi pens etc. He no longer needs them and can eat peanuts all day long now. She put all 3 of her boys through the program and now that they are older they were glad to hear we were putting our son through it. They said if they did not go through it themselves they would of thought is was crazy. They told me how much better they recall feeling after going through the treatments. They were kids at the time and are now grown adults. They don't advertise it much because they can't. It basically cured us. We don't respond at all to the things that use to bother us. My husbands arthritic flare ups stopped after going through the protocol. It changed my girlfriends autistic son's life. There son become more vocal, more connected, etc. I could go on and on with testimonies of what NAET has done. Just because it is hard to wrap you mind around ... have faith it really works... It did for us and many others.

I believe in science and not faith when it comes to medical treatments. I believe in faith and not science when it comes to spiritual treatments.

Isn't it true then that you should keep trying and testing to see if it has gone away
