Hello everyone. I'm 22, reactive to dairy, dairy derivatives, tree nuts, shellfish, aspartame, tomatoes, and now bananas are hit or miss....mostly miss.

Last week I had an anaphylaxic reaction to a new antibiotic I was taking. I was home alone and knew I was in trouble so I called my local emergency number. When the First Responders (Firefighters here) arrived I handed them my medic alert card with all my allergies and told them that I had administered an epipen prior to their arrival. I have been taking Benadryl tablets for the last 6 months for itching caused by food allergies. I am obviously allergic to something that I have not figured out yet. I take 2 tablets and within 30 minutes to an hour all of the itching subsides. Also, I did not have any side effects like drowsiness. My friends were amazed that I could stay awake on it.

I have a medical condition that makes it dangerous for me to have any medicine with epinephrine in it. Does anyone else have this problem, and if yes, what do you do about it?
I recently had a bad drug allergy reaction to aciclovir I was given the medication to treat a mouth ulcer that the doctor thought could be impetigo and I had a high dose of Aciclovir in tablet form. However I am violently allergic to Aciclovir (now I know!) but my question is if you do have a drug allergy what is the best method immediate self care?
Thanks @A MyFoodAllergyTeam Member I actually never thought of the steroids Prednisone. In my head that’s just for the asthma I never considered this for suppressing the immune system in anyway.
