I have a medical condition that makes it dangerous for me to have any medicine with epinephrine in it. Does anyone else have this problem, and if yes, what do you do about it?
Hello everyone. I'm 22, reactive to dairy, dairy derivatives, tree nuts, shellfish, aspartame, tomatoes, and now bananas are hit or miss....mostly miss.
Besides that, I have a lot of other random allergies. Basically, this translates to a lot of benadryl taken often.
I have been taking Benadryl tablets for the last 6 months for itching caused by food allergies. I am obviously allergic to something that I have not figured out yet. I take 2 tablets and within 30 minutes to an hour all of the itching subsides. Also, I did not have any side effects like drowsiness. My friends were amazed that I could stay awake on it.

I am allergic to Benedryl, Sudafed and Reactin. I am able to use Aerius but prefer not to because it tastes horrible. Also allergic to artificial sweeteners. I need liquid or sublingual. Does anyone know if I would be safe with Zyrtec? Thanks in advance.
I am wondering how long my symptoms will persist. I am taking prednisone, Zyrtec, Benadryl and Pepcid to control getting short of breath. I had been to the ER and received 40 mg of prednisone. The next day I felt fair, the following with small dose of prednisone, I felt awful again. Dr. has me on 40 - 60 mg a day for 3 days, 40 for 3, 20 for 3 and 10 for 3.

She swears by it, but she has more sensitivities tip certain foods than out right allergic reactions. I'd read about it and did some research. It had pros and cons, but I did seek out a naturopathic doctor to see if or how this would work. When I saw him, he said "If this was a proven cure for severe food allergies and people had access to this, no one would… read more
I recently had a severe allergic reaction and was almost about to pass out, i took 2 benadryl tablets and I was lucky that my symptoms were under control within 2 hours. I went to see an Allergy doctor and he said he can't pin point what i am allergic too. I want to get to the root cause of this problem so my question is would it help going to an infectious disease doctor who can do further testing and see if there is any autoimmune disease going on that's causing this to happen?
