How do I find out what fish are related to dory fish jis my sister had a real bad reaction to it other night
thanks @ ShellfishMary; It is me who has just found out I am allergic to this fish. Thanks for the reply.
Hi everyone I am allergic to Dory Fish as well as other fish that I don't remember what they are, Taro, Diclofinec which is a Antihistamine that for me doesn't work well cos of the reaction, and Coconut are the other things I am allergic to.
What I want to know is not if there is anything related to it; I want to know what it is related to so I can avoid this stuff like the plague.
Thank you all for reading my post.
My food allergies are poultry, fish, shellfish, beer, which are all foods high in purines. I’ve been allergic to poultry since birth but the other allergies didn’t start until my 30s and after I was suffering from gout attacks. Once I stopped eating fish/beer the gout attacks stopped. Doctors and my own research have told me that gout is caused by the body’s inability to process purines and uric acid. So I was wondering if there could be a correlation here?
I sometimes start getting like i dry itching mouth and start getting or going into severe coughing with some things like some foods or anything else that causes these symptoms? Thanks, Jessika
Agree sounds exactly like oral allergy syndrome
I am allergic to or sensitive to most common foods: Dairy, grains, gluten, soy, Sesame, legume, nuts, tree nuts, poultry, pork, fish, shellfish, eggs, gourds (melons, cucumbers, pumpkin), green veggies, nightshades, most fruits (stone fruits, apples, citrus). I have contacted formula manufacturers but no one has anything suitable for me. I now have SMA syndrome because I've lost so much weight. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get more calories in? I also have TMJ issues so I have to… read more
Can a severe migraine - headache, aura's, nausea, vomiting, light & sound sensitivity, and only being able to tolerate ginger ale and mint tea(no solids) for 5 days - be considered anaphylaxis?
I have not been diagnosed but they elimination have found them to be the culprits of by bouts of extreme stomach cramping and light headedness. The thing is the symptoms aren't always severe. Is anyone else experiencing this? Have you found anything that helps other than trying to avoid them?
I often have reactions (mouth) to raw onions, but I can tolerate them cooked, usually, although they will upset my stomach sometimes.
How do you explain to restaurants that you have food allergies and how do you know they listen yo you? I have a selected few restaurants I go to, and when I have to go to a new one I feel like my life is in danger...which it technically is (hehe) seeing as my anaphalaxis has reached a point where I have an epipen with me at all times, and even then I do not have long to get to a doctor...just wondering how everyone else copes with restaurants and take away places...
Grocery items I used to buy have sea salt included now. Some restaurants use sea salt now.
I have very similar reactions as you with all seafood/shellfish. But when I consume sea salt I immediately vomit within an hour. My stomach pain is intense and lasts for a few days.
