Zyrtec
I am allergic to Benedryl, Sudafed and Reactin. I am able to use Aerius but prefer not to because it tastes horrible. Also allergic to artificial sweeteners. I need liquid or sublingual. Does anyone know if I would be safe with Zyrtec? Thanks in advance.
Thanks
The best way to find out if Zyrtec is safe is to call the manufacturer. The phone number is on the box, but just so you know the company will ask you for a serial # on the box. That number tells them where that product was manufactured in the world. When you call them and ask them if there are any ingredients that contain......what you are allergic too. Sometimes they can give you a clear answer right away, and other times they have to get back with you in a week just so they can verify.
However, you can also call a Compound Pharmacy in your area and ask them if they can make a Benadryl or any other medication without your food allergies. Then you would have to get a written prescription from your doctor to give to them. That would be the solution to any medication issues.
Good luck!
I am on Ensure, pureed soups but only if my parents are home, ice cream and occasionally baby food.. Again only if my parents are home. It is so frustrating because I have numerous other health issues but most medications come in pill form or contain other ingredients I am allergic to :'(
Thanks for sharing. Your the second individual I am aware of who is on a liquid diet for the same reasons. The first person I met survived on drinks like Ensure. Are you able to grind up food and consume it or is that too much too? Have you found any good websites? Curious.
I can't swallow anything solid. I am on a completely liquid diet because of severe choking spells
