I have recently been experiencing shortness of breath. I’ve had testing done and they have ruled out heart, lungs and anemia issues. I’ve eaten yogurt and other dairy products more than I have. I’m going to have blood work done to determine what food allergies I have. My guess is dairy may be one.
Please be careful and do your research! Prednisone has an inactive ingredient of *anhydrous lactose*
Which could worsen your allergy symptoms. Prednisone also can be a cataract maker 👀 My dairy… read more
Thank you! Yes that’s good advice, thx
Sure is! Compounding pharmacy is costly, but I am thankful I can get necessary meds in order to function. The world has no idea!
How do you make your own chapstick?
I'm thinking forward 15+ years to when my daughter and her husband get invited to a friend's house for dinner. How would she accept if she doesn't know them well enough to trust their cooking to be safe? Does she just always offer to host? Bring her own food? Eat before coming over?
Make sure they know about your food allergies and always bring at least one dish with you so you know you can eat it safely. Also, we have shown up late and already feed. If they are good friends… read more
Hi people, I have just about had enough of bland boring food just the same every night, some veg is allowed, little fruit and gluten free a must. I can't find a decent veggie sausage anywhere. Climbing the walls without them! Help?
Thanks I will try a nutritionist, coeliac disease I know about it's an auto immune condition. That doesn't bother me but having oral allergy syndrome does!
I am newly diagnosed (less than three weeks) and my husband just is not getting how severely allergic I am to shellfish! He made me react twice. The first time was a learning curve! Second time he used a pan and didn't clean it well I used it later to cook land I ended up in the hospital! I know it takes awhile for everyone to learn to live with allergies but does anyone have advice that would help to speed the process along! Thanks so much!!!
I’m still trying to figure this one out with my husband… He was good about it when we first married, but the last few years have been awful with reaction after reaction. He’s seen them. I’ve even gone… read more

So sorry to hear that! I am allergic to gluten and soy and it is so challenging as soy is in everything- unless I make it myself. Best of luck to you
My daughter went on a field trip and wanted a school bagged lunch. Our previous school district was great with separating lunches for allergies. Yesterday my daughter had PB&J in her lunch. She rolled with it very well. Tried to tell the teachers, but she said nothing happened. Her lunch was raisins, chips, and an apple. She said it was ok because she was full after that. So happy she spoke up and made good choices, but worried it could have been worse. Will be talking with the school tomorrow… read more
Good job, mom. My son once got pneumonia cuz the Y kept giving him HiC to drink although I told them not to. It’s loaded with corn and he was not old enough to tell them at 2 yo.
I am diagnosed with tree nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, wheat, corn, soy and egg white allergies. None of them showed up on my skin testing but do with the blood testing IGE response. What kind of symptoms can these allergens be causing? I am diabetic, have PCOS and struggle with depression/anxiety/adhd.
Will an elimination diet help?
Any of those allergens could be causing all but your diabetes. My oldest daughter is allergic to Red dye #4 and #40, which caused ADHD symptoms. Anxiety and depression can come because of the foods… read more
